miniZ a fast and friendly Equihash <144,5> miner

Thank you rhum200. Glad to know all is running fine.
Are those values with and without OC? If you did some OC can you share your settings so that we can add them?
Cheers

I did no OC in my cards, may be i could get a bigger hashrate.
Regarding to my card’s price i’d prefer to let them with original settings.
I’m too scared to overdamage them.

Hi rhum200,

you might benefit in efficiency, usually people limit the power and introduce some modifications to the core and the memory clock. You need to do it with some care.

From our experience, sometimes we did hang the computer or the miner, but we never damaged the cards. We prevent them from overheating and never raise the voltage. In any case, we understand your fears since those are indeed expensive cards.

Thank you for the values. Just one more question  What is the long time average? It should have stabilized.

please explain me where i can read “long time average”

Thank you for your time. You can read 3h average in the console output. See here how http://miniz.ch/usage/#ConsoleOutput
Cheers

so long time average is 493 using 6 cards.
82 sol/s per card

i had a core dump crash after 2 and half days mining i did not investigate about it because i saw it while i was at work . next crash i’ll take time look at system logs ( may be in cuda’s ) and report to you

Hi rhum200, that card may need some tuning in the miner. We’ll see if we can do it.
Regarding the crash, we’ll investigate trying to reproduce the error. If it happens again, it would be great if you can report back. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

hello bataverde,

crash cames again 45 min ago, here is the end of console output :

  • Improved efficiencies. (~2-3%)
  • Improved stability.
  • --latency (ping) is now calculated with shorter average period.
  • --nocolor option for no color in console. Now logfile is always no color.
  • Bug fixes.

Hive OS support @ https://miniz.ch/2018/12/13/hive-os-support/

Sols/s:

  • GTX 1050 2GB ~17-19 Sol/s

wow great work buddy!
Can anyone vouch for these figures?

wow, time to try your miner! wosh it means ~40S/s for my two 1050 gpus!
how is the functionality of the rig during mining?
can it handle some more process or it will freeze?

Im testing it now:
1050ti 4gb: 18.5S/s
1050 2gb: 16.5S/s

Total: 35Sol/s it means +5Sol compaired to EWBF!

Hi FollowWings,
because the miner uses almost all GPU resources, everything running in parallel will certainly have an effect in performance.
However, the best is to try and see how it goes.

Hello, what parameter did you put to get ~ 65-73 Gb / s with a GTX 1080 8GB?
I am at 66 S / s maximum.
Best regards

Hi gilardh,
Sure. We share the settings we tested, and that seemed stable, here https://miniz.ch/1445-2/
The version v1.2m should bring an improvement for this gpu. Will be out soon, within a week…maybe less.
Cheers
