miniZ a fast and friendly Equihash <144,5> miner

#16

Thank you rhum200. Glad to know all is running fine.
Are those values with and without OC? If you did some OC can you share your settings so that we can add them?
Cheers

#17

I did no OC in my cards, may be i could get a bigger hashrate.
Regarding to my card’s price i’d prefer to let them with original settings.
I’m too scared to overdamage them.

#18

Hi rhum200,

you might benefit in efficiency, usually people limit the power and introduce some modifications to the core and the memory clock. You need to do it with some care.

From our experience, sometimes we did hang the computer or the miner, but we never damaged the cards. We prevent them from overheating and never raise the voltage. In any case, we understand your fears since those are indeed expensive cards.

Thank you for the values. Just one more question  What is the long time average? It should have stabilized.

#19

please explain me where i can read “long time average”

#20

Thank you for your time. You can read 3h average in the console output. See here how http://miniz.ch/usage/#ConsoleOutput
Cheers

#21

so long time average is 493 using 6 cards.
82 sol/s per card

i had a core dump crash after 2 and half days mining i did not investigate about it because i saw it while i was at work . next crash i’ll take time look at system logs ( may be in cuda’s ) and report to you

#22

Hi rhum200, that card may need some tuning in the miner. We’ll see if we can do it.
Regarding the crash, we’ll investigate trying to reproduce the error. If it happens again, it would be great if you can report back. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Thank you for the feedback rhum200, this should be fixed in the next version.
Cheers

#25

Hi everyone,

thank you all for your feedback.

There is a new miniZ version v1.0i available for download @ https://miniz.ch

  • Minor speed improvements. (Mostly on GTX 1060 ~3%)
  • Improved efficiencies. (~2-3%)
  • Improved stability.
  • --latency (ping) is now calculated with shorter average period.
  • --nocolor option for no color in console. Now logfile is always no color.
  • Bug fixes.

Hive OS support @ https://miniz.ch/2018/12/13/hive-os-support/

Sols/s:

  • GTX 1050 2GB ~17-19 Sol/s
  • GTX 1050Ti 4GB ~19-21 Sol/s
  • GTX 1060 3GB ~33-37 Sol/s
  • GTX 1070Ti 8GB ~60-69 Sol/s
  • GTX 1080 8GB ~60-67 Sol/s

We added 2miners.com as default mining pool server. Usage info here.

For more information, download, and support check the website: https://miniz.ch/
Download miniZ miner here: https://miniz.ch/download/

Happy BTCZ mining!

#26

wow great work buddy!
Can anyone vouch for these figures?

#27

wow, time to try your miner! wosh it means ~40S/s for my two 1050 gpus!
how is the functionality of the rig during mining?
can it handle some more process or it will freeze?

#28

Im testing it now:
1050ti 4gb: 18.5S/s
1050 2gb: 16.5S/s

Total: 35Sol/s it means +5Sol compaired to EWBF!

#29

Hi FollowWings,
because the miner uses almost all GPU resources, everything running in parallel will certainly have an effect in performance.
However, the best is to try and see how it goes.
Cheers

Thanks for reporting!

#31

Hi everyone,

thank you all for your encouragement and feedback.

  • Current/average total power added to console and log/output file.
  • Added accepted share efficiency per GPU, expressed as a percentage (Accepted Shares/Total Shares * 100)
  • Added --shares-detail option to show accepted/rejected shares per GPU, instead of accepted share efficiency.
  • Added --log-delay option to define the time to wait (in seconds) before starting periodic writes to the log/output file.
  • Added --log-period option to define the time interval (in seconds) between periodic writes to the log/output file.
  • Added --f11 option for small tuning. (see Usage page)
  • Windows Cuda 10.0 version (excluded Cuda 9.2).
  • Bug fixes.

Hive OS support @ https://miniz.ch/2018/12/13/hive-os-support/

Hello, what parameter did you put to get ~ 65-73 Gb / s with a GTX 1080 8GB?
I am at 66 S / s maximum.
Best regards

#35

Hi gilardh,
Sure. We share the settings we tested, and that seemed stable, here https://miniz.ch/1445-2/
The version v1.2m should bring an improvement for this gpu. Will be out soon, within a week…maybe less.
Cheers
