miniZ a fast and friendly Equihash <144,5> miner

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your support! A new version miniZ v1.5u is out!

miniZ has speed improvements in the new version: major improvements for 144,5 !

Changelog:

  • 144,5 (BTCZ,…): major improvements for various GPUs. Up to 6.5% depending on GPU.
  • Reduced memory utilization on 144,5 for all GPUs.
  • Fixed connection latency issues.
  • Added --ocX option for automatic tunning of the best kernel for your GPU and OC settings, for all algos.
  • Added --show-mode option to show the miniZ kernel each GPU is using.

Download miniZ v1.5u here .

Few notes:

  • When adjusting your GPUs settings do not forget to check if your GPU supports oc1/oc2. If so it may boost your performance a little. --oc1/oc2 changed for some GPUs and algos in the new version.
You can also use an option for automatic tunning of the best kernel for your GPU and OC settings --ocX - available in all algorithms. For updated information read the specific topic on FAQ page.

  • In this version we have stopped Cuda 8 support. On Download page you can find Cuda 10 version (Linux and Windows).

For additional information check our Usage or FAQ pages.

  • Intensity option was modified.
  • When no worker name is specified, miniZ doesn’t make worker=rig’s name anymore.
  • Improved stale shares.
  • Added support for Ethash and Etchash mining.

Hi BTCZ miners,

A new miniZ v1.8y3 version is out!

This version includes a few improvements! They are not specific to 144,5 algorithm, however in general all algorithms benefit from them. For more information check:

Please find miniZ v1.8y3 version @ Download page.

In summary:

  • Added --mt-auto, --mt-dump and --mt options to adjust memory timings on Linux.
About --mt options: check our Usage or FAQ pages.
  • Added HTTP headers to json api.
  • Fixed low hashrate on Windows 7 while mining ETH, on some GPUs.
  • Added mining rentals, and other pools, to magic list.
  • Added kernel for Ethash mining locked GPUs (RTX 3060 default mode 80).
Use 461.40 (Windows) or 460.39 (Linux) drivers for best performance, although any driver should work.
Let us know if there is interest on mining lock workarounds for other GPUs and algos (equihash should not be affected by this lock).

Happy BTCZ mining!

Hi, I am running v1.9z3 on HiveOS (latest stable 5.10.0).
The miner is not recognising several command: --mt-auto, --gpuclock, --memcloc… on Windows they work fine and using them I manage to get much better efifciency on Flux on my 1660TI (0.37 VS 0.43). Would be possible to have them working also on Hive? Thanks
